Reporting to the Project Manager, Indigenous Participation and working within a collaborative community, this is truly a unique opportunity to lead streams of work through cross functional working groups, delivering valuable outcomes to our Operations and our people.

You will be an integral part of the leadership team within the Human Resources Division, your input will be highly valued as you shape the People strategy specific to Indigenous Participation. Through exposure to different initiatives across the various Divisions within Rio Tinto Iron Ore, you will have the opportunity to stretch and diversify your experience and exposure across a variety of business and function specific strategies and challenges. You will partner with teams across Iron Ore to enable and empower our people to achieve better cultural understanding, inclusivity and safety whilst driving the achievement of our Indigenous Participation Vision and Strategy.

What you’ll bring

A connection with and commitment to the positive engagement of Australia’s First Nations peoples, their cultures, and communities is a key importance for this role.

Your expertise to link cultural awareness and insights to the strategy and business context is vital as you will demonstrate the ability to engage, influence and collaborate with senior leadership teams.

You will provide a sustainable application of Indigenous Participation activities specific to sourcing, recruitment, talent development, leadership, retention where you will maintain a strong partnership with the HR teams and senior leadership, your stakeholder engagement skills will ensure your success in this role.

In addition, you will bring:

Where you’ll be working

You will be based at our head office located in Perth Central Park building, working Monday to Friday with regular site travel required. We encourage agile and flexible work arrangements.
