About the Role
The Lead Operational Integration is an integral part of the Asset Project Delivery Team, reporting to the Manager Operational Readiness ODAP and COAP. The key contribution of this role is to deliver Operational Readiness services, through study to delivery phases of the project. The Lead Operational Integration is the key conduit, ensuring activities required to effectively and efficiently handover projects to Operations are completed, to schedule.
The Lead Operational Integration role is based in the corporate office, with frequent site visits to ensure stakeholder engagement is maintained throughout each project phase, including execution and handover.
This position will be based in Adelaide with occasional site travel. Flexible work arrangements are available.
As the Lead Operational Integration you will:
- Understand Operational requirements for green field projects. Understands the legislations requirements for setting up mine access
- Report and present material to Project teams and the Operational Readiness Manager, for Oak Dam Project
- Provide input into the Commissioning and Operational Readiness team’s overarching strategies and development for ongoing Operational Readiness improvement
- Create an Operational Readiness Strategy (ORS), Operation Management Plan (OMP) and Ramp-Up plan in SPS, defining tasks and outputs required in the DPS
- Create an Operational Readiness Schedule in SPS to identify timing of tasks and hours required in DPS Phase
- Engage with Project and Engineering Service Providers to identify deliverable requirements of both parties and time frames required
- Collaborate with Project Engineers to provide feedback in HSECOMMS, Risk Reviews and Design Reviews
- Create an Operational Readiness Plan in DPS, defining tasks and outputs required in the EXE Phase
- Create an Operational Readiness Schedule in DPS to identify timing of tasks and hours required in EXE Phase
- Liaise with business partners to supply Operational Readiness scope
- Contribute to the End of Phase documentation capturing outputs completed during SPS and DPS. This is to be included in the End of Phase Report as a chapter
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to Health, Safety and Environment responsibility and sustainable development including managing fatigue, whilst balancing the travel commitments that are required of this role
- Promote and manage the professionalism and quality of all aspects of the services provided to stakeholders across the business, engaging in a collaborative fashion which builds trust and credibility for the function
About You
- Experience managing teams
- Extremely strong stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to large scale projects from study phase to delivery, with greenfield project experience highly desirable
- Experience with Operational sites and understanding of Operational activities
- Awareness of BHP systems, processes and functions
- Manipulate data from multiple sources and present data effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, across several operations
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent
- Understanding of appropriate legislation required for mine access in South Australia
- Experience with streamlining complex processes to make them effective, efficient and easy to implement and sustain
- You will have the capability of creating and formatting engineering reports.
- Experience with 1SAP, MS Project or Primavera P6 will be highly regarded
