Lead Portfolio Planner

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

As we embark on our journey to meet the world leading heavy industry decarbonisation goals of achieving real zero by 2030, come and join the team which will lead it from the front.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio / Integration Planner to manage the schedules for the US$6.2B portfolio between power generation, demand response, green fleet and associated site infrastructure.

Reporting to Manager Project Controls, you will be required to interface with the numerous work streams of the decarbonisation initiative teams from across the broader Fortescue family throughout the lifecycle of the portfolio of projects.

We are seeking a key participant in a high performing team who consistently demonstrates leadership, is proactive and takes ownership of their outputs, is courageous and will engage in constructive conflict with the view to continually improve objectives and outcomes

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Maintain integrated Level 2 schedule for the FMG Decarbonisation Portfolio

  • Coordinate integration works in accordance with portfolio strategy and objectives

  • Analyse and report on overall progress and performance of the portfolio, proactively work with project teams and stakeholders to understand implications of deviations and mitigations for negative impacts on future works and key portfolio milestones

  • Establish portfolio schedule reporting structure and coding

  • Perform Schedule risk assessment and analysis

  • Analyse and recommend strategies for the project and programme schedule implementation

  • Assist with analysis of commodity and resource budget, performance, utilisation and forecasts

  • Prepare and deliver stakeholder presentations on schedule and portfolio performance

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Technical Qualification or Background
  • Engineering and or Project Management degree desirable
  • 10yrs + experience consisting of at least 2 years of owner team and 8 years of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (flexible on years of experience) 
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Proficiency with Schedule Risk Analysis
  • Strong stakeholder engaging sills
