• Demonstrable ability to identify opportunities and define a holistic digital product strategy that will ensure seamless and cost-effective passage of products from concept to launch and landed impact.
• Deep understanding of our business domain, target market and users.
• Working knowledge of our technical and competitive landscape.
• Own outcomes and product investment, providing strategic recommendations into product viability, ROI and feature prioritisation.
• Articulate and communicate product and user requirements.
• Provide insights necessary to enable our technical teams to design and deliver the best solutions to solve our critical business needs.

Specific accountabilities for the Lead Product Manager, Long-Medium Term Planning & OBK Products include:

• Acts as the lead product manager for a portfolio of products/ services in a domain.
• Develops & maintains the portfolio product strategy in a domain to align with the Rio Tinto priorities.
• Plans and leads scoping, requirements definition and priority setting for complex, strategic programmes.
• Point of contact for new product development/ demand in the domain.
• Point of contact for CoEs & PGs/ Functions stakeholders.
• Oversees & prioritises the R&D activities in the domain.
• Decides on budget allocation in the domain.
• Ensures high value delivery for the digital products in the domain.
• Ensures high level of customer satisfaction in the domain.
