About the Role
We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our WA Asset Projects Group as a Study Lead.
This role will be based in Perth with occasional travel to site.
Working in a proactive and supportive team, you will promote business excellence using your problem solving, technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement and value optimisation skills.
We are looking for experienced project and study professionals with outstanding analytical abilities and a desire to deliver meaningful and impactful work.
Reporting to a Study Manager, you will lead the development of projects through BHP’s project development lifecycle phases. You will play a significant role in delivering business value through the development of superior safety, scope, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.
Other key accountabilities will include:
- Leading a culture of care through visible safety leadership and an uncompromising commitment to health, safety and the environment
- Liaising with and coordinating the many people who will contribute to the assigned studies under the functional model, maintaining a high level of key stakeholder engagement and guiding relevant projects through project delivery
- Developing assigned studies, in accordance with Our Requirements and the Minerals Australia Projects Internal Standard
- Identifying and delivering value optimisation initiatives
- Ensuring the project risks are identified and actively managed throughout the study phases
About You
Experienced in working within dynamic environments, you will be an effective problem solver and compelling influencer, able to clearly communicate business benefits, risks, and project dependencies.
Experience working across studies and project development will be necessary to demonstrate in your background. In addition you will possess the following:
- Rail or Port exposure would be advantageous
- Proactive, outcome focused with excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills
- Divergent and convergent thinking skills
- A strong understanding of business value and be adept at stakeholder management
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity will be a key strength in this role
