About the Role

BRM is an underground mine with obligations that extend to both surface and underground operations. This position will travel from the township of Moranbah or camp facilities.  

In this role you will be reporting to the Production Manager as well the Underground Mine Manager at Broadmeadow Mine. The Shift Lead Execution performs a span of control role by leading a team in to operate production plant, equipment and infrastructure overseeing compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes to achieve optimal production outcomes.  

You will lead, coach and mentor team members to ensure delivery against performance targets by monitoring expectations, understanding and application of Production Execution processes within the team to support compliance with local requirements and Group Level Documents (GLD). 

This position is also responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Guides Coordinators in the optimisation of equipment via Process Control Systems; 
  • Manages the Process Control System so that performance is being measured and performance criteria met; 
  • Manages the integrity of the data captured in Process Control Systems; 
  • Monitors that the inputs to the process control systems are configured prior to the execution of the week 0 schedule. 

About You

You will have demonstrated leadership skills and experience and experience in working with teams in a coal production environment.  

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to allow you to engage with teams and leaders at all levels of the organisation, and your interpersonal skills allow you to build relationships within your teams, and across departments. You are able to identify and analyse complex problems and make recommendations by engaging with team members and stakeholders close to the problem. You are also able to effectively manage and deliver projects in line with targets, budget, schedule and resources. The ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop every day in order to enable future growth is widely regarded. 

Minimum statutory qualifications for this position include: 

  • 2nd Class ticket Statutory Underground Mining Certificate.
