About the Role
As Training Systems Lead reporting to the Statutory & Site Systems Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing direction, governance and development of all training activities at site to drive compliance with the BHP training and competency framework. Your previous experience will enable you to take ownership for this responsibility and thereby ensure the quality and improvement of all training material and processes are maintained to a high industry standard
Key responsibilities within this role will include:
- A strong commitment to health, safety, environment and sustainable development
- Managing and maintaining systems for training including site Training Needs Analysis (TNA), training plans and packages, record management, reporting and auditing
- Collate and Analyse data for the purpose of compliance, training needs and performance reports
- Ensure all training materials are developed and updated in line with BHP and industry requirements
- A strong commitment to the transition to E learning platforms
- Develop, implement and maintain site training plans with a focus on new to industry engagement
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance on training, competency and authorisation process
- Coaching and mentoring workplace trainers/assessors
- Build positive relationships through effective communication and consultation with key stakeholders to manage end to end training process
This position is offered as a 5:2 roster and flexible options may be considered.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will be a collaborative, performance focused and output driven individual with the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as high level of thinking, planning and problem solving will be key to success in the role.
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training & and Assessment with a strong knowledge of current training practices and legislation
- Previous supervisor / lead experience in the training discipline
- Experience creating and delivering training packages
- Experience with LMS platform or other training platforms
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- An aptitude for learning and continuous improving
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
