ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a day shift even time sportsman’s roster, DIDO to our Boddington Bauxite Mine, which is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for assisting with the supervision and execution of the activities undertaken by the Mine Services team, including clearing, overburden stripping, road works, ore bench preparation, and rehabilitation. 

executing operation activities as directed by the Mine Services Supervisor and in accordance with BBM standards and operating procedures.  

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• other related tasks in line with the mine plan and targets for safety, culture, volume and cost
• Ensure physical assets/equipment are operated safely, and activities are conducted by competent personnel in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures
• Provide day-to-day leadership, expertise and direction to a Mine Services Execution team within an operation area to ensure delivery against plans
• Develop and communicate the weekly and shift plan through pre-shift meetings, and effectively execute through appropriate time in the field

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Technical competence and knowledge of procedures related to the operation of production equipment and other mining functions
• Demonstrated capability to successfully lead a team, influence others and performance manage
• Ability to identify, build, and develop team capability through coaching and development
• Understands and drives productivity without compromising safety

Qualifications for this position are:

• Current C Class Drivers Licence (essential)
• Schedule26 Supervisor (desirable)
