ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 42-hour per week, sportsman’s 5,4,5 dayshift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine reporting to the Supervisor Mine Services.
Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.
As the Leading Hand – Development Mining you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting frontline mine services activities to safely deliver operational plans, achieve performance targets and build team capability.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Oversee daily field activities to ensure work is completed in line with operational priorities and site standards.
- Monitor progress against shift and weekly plans, identifying and addressing performance variances.
- Work closely with maintenance, planning and operational teams to support efficient workflow and issue resolution.
- Support onboarding, training and continuous improvement initiatives across the crew.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Leading and supporting teams within a mining, civil or heavy industry environment.
- Building positive and inclusive working relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Applying strong safety leadership and promoting safe work practices in the field.
- Communicating clearly, providing guidance and mentoring others to achieve team goals.
- Planning, prioritising and adapting to changing operational requirements.
- Making sound decisions under pressure while maintaining a focus on people, safety and performance.

Qualifications for this position are:
Essential:
- Current Western Australian ‘C’ class Drivers’ License.
- Completion of Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Training.
Highly regarded:
- Formal leadership qualification
