Leading Hand - Electrical Outbye

About the Role 
In this exciting period of growth, an opportunity exits to join our Underground Team, as Leading Hand - Electrical Outbye. You will be responsible for the safe rectification of breakdowns and maintenance activities on shift, ensuring activities conducted are completed safely and to a high standard.

What You’ll Do
You will be responsible for overseeing, supporting and managing crews whilst providing technical advice, along with ensuring safety and legislative requirements are adhered to.  This primarily is a hand on role where you will provide technical support to the Electrical team and maintain high level of electrical engineering standards.  

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to promote a positive safety culture within a mine
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Underground Coal Mining
• Trade qualifications as an Electrician, engineering qualifications will be highly regarded
• Qualified NSW Supervisors Certificate
• High Voltage Switching
• PLC & Instrumentation proficiency, control and compact logix will be highly regarded
• VSD drive experience, desirable
• Explosion protected equipment experience
• Ability to plan, train and supervise the work of others
• Ability and experience to lead and motivate a team
• A high level of diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• The ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
• Strong focus on standards, minimising waste and cost
