We currently have an exciting opportunity for HD Fitter Leading Hand - Field to join the maintenance team at our Foxleigh coal project located near Middlemount in the Bowen Basin. This is a five year contract which encompasses the provision of mobile plant & maintenance services, including the maintenance of client owned equipment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the positions will provide support to the management team whilst undertaking duties for the service and maintenance of all mobile plant.

Key duties/responsibilities include:
• Stepping up into the Maintenance Supervisor position when required
• Motivating and encouraging a strong safety culture on site
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with general duties as required
• Assist with high level diagnostic queries from team members
• Maximise the availability and reliability of mobile equipment by supporting the team to meet project targets
• Conduct and participate in weekly toolbox meetings and daily pre-start meetings
• Maintain regular reporting to the management team 
• Carry out repairs to equipment in accordance with the OEM
• Report on any items that cannot be repaired via the work order system
• Support the department’s planning strategy regarding work order management and defect elimination

To be successful in this position you must have:
• Relevant trade qualification
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in heavy mobile plant repair and maintenance
• Basic knowledge of QLD mining and safety legislation
• S123 Site Supervisor certificate
• Coal Board medical and Standard 11
• Driver’s license (manual)
