This is a DIDO Leading Hand position out at Fimiston mine site in Kalgoorlie.

  • Earn up to $238k per year + super, depending on experience

  • DIDO from Kalgoorlie or surrounding areas 

  • 2:1 DIDO roster (week of days, week of nights, week off)

What your day looks like:

  • Lead a team of 10 – 15 people on day and night shift

  • Ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Emeco’s heavy earthmoving fleet

  • Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required

  • Working safely and adhering to relevant HSE policy and procedures to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others. 

  • Ensuring all maintenance and optimisation targets are met on time and within budget.

  • Working with Emeco customers and stakeholders to meet larger organisational objectives.

What we'll need from you:

  • Must have full working rights within Australia 

  • A strong commitment to safety and leadership

  • AMT exposure would be highly advantageous

  • Significant post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi

  • Prior leadership experience working on a mine site leading a team of 10+ people

  • High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles

  • Strong analytical mindset and solution focused attitude

  • Hold a current Australian Driver's License 

  • Recognised National Australian Trade Certificate as a Heavy Diesel Fitter

  • Licence to conduct high risk work with dogging, rigging, crane and work platform classifications (desirable)

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and provide a current National Police Check.
