About The Role
We are seeking a talented Leading Hand to be accountable for the performance of maintenance and repairs to Development equipment to achieve production targets.
The Leading Hand will provide supervision of the daily activities of tradespeople and contractors and will ensure maintenance coverage for breakdowns.
The Leading Hand will also provide support for the work management process in PULSE raising work orders, ordering parts, recording actions and closing work orders
What You’ll Do
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership in the workplace through leading by example, fostering OH&S awareness among staff, managing risk, and promoting continuous improvements in the area of safety while working towards the company goal of “zero harm”
- Develop plans and conduct repairs and maintenance for development equipment.
- Develop and carry out assigned work orders.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain a high work output level, and provide assistance where required.
What You’ll Bring
- Experienced in Underground Coal Development
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Driver’s Licence
- Supervisor qualifications S1, S2 and S3 (desirable)
