ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Supervisor Production-Mining, as Leading hand, the purpose of this role is to supervise the execution of production activities undertaken by front-line operational personnel in line with the production plan and targets for safety, culture, volume and cost. Ensure physical assets and equipment are operated as defined by the HSEC requirements, the operations standards and operating procedures.  This role will be offered on a Permanent basis. Roster 7 / 7.

Position is based at

key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Spend appropriate time in the field to supervise the execution of the operations plan to achieve established KPI targets at a shift and crew level.
• Ensure operations activities are conducted safely by competent operations personnel in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures.
• Manage all aspects of shift performance including safety, production, personnel and budgets
• Provide day-to-day leadership, expertise and direction to a Production Execution team within an operation area to ensure delivery against plans.

ABOUT YOU 

• Demonstrated technical competence and knowledge of procedures related to the operation of production equipment, as well as knowledge of other mining functions.
• Significant experience at supervisory level with a demonstrated capability to successfully lead a team, influence others and performance manage a team.
• Intermediate proficiency in computer applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Desirable criteria;

• Training and Assessment qualification highly regarded.
• Diploma Surface Operations qualification highly regarded.
• S26 Supervisor qualifications highly regarded.
