Yarrabee currently have an opportunity for a Leading Hand to join the Mining team!

About the Role

This position is proficient in ancillary equipment such as dozers, graders, loader and or excavators and assists the Supervisor within the crew to ensure all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

• Assist the Production Supervisor with leading a mining crew to safely and efficiently deliver production results
• Provide Step-Up Supervisor support where required
• Carry out effective inspection and reporting processes in accordance with relevant site policies and procedures
• Conduct mining practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Actively seek continuous improvement

Roster: 7:7 rotating Day/Night - 12 hours

About You

• Previous experience acting as a Step-Up Crew Production Supervisor in an open-cut coal mining environment is highly regarded
• A solid understanding of the processes involved with open cut coal mining
• Great organisational, communication and presentation skills coupled with approachable and motivational qualities
• Proven leadership experience and people management skills is essential
• Qualifications that support your experience and success within the coal mining industry
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Standard 11, S123 and G2
