Due to the continuous growth and strengthening of our position Australia wide and the recent additional works being awarded at Byerwen. Macmahon now has the opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand - Production on a 7:7 roster.

About the role:
•    Conduct pre-start meetings and report any issues to the Production Supervisor or Production Superintendent
•    Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, Macmahon and Client instructions, policies, procedures and practices
•    Ensure all workers undertake daily safety requirements such as wear correct PPE, complete pre-start checks, and maintain housekeeping standards
•    Manage fleets by short interval control measures
•    Operate assigned equipment (truck and ancillary) in a safe and efficient manner to the work standards set by the Supervisor
•    Assist the Production Supervisor to allocate resources to maximise safety, production and cost efficiency including people, equipment and materials
•    Ensure all equipment is in a clean and operable condition during shift. Report any faults to Supervisor immediately
•    Follow effective work plans (tasks, timelines, and resources) and clearly communicate with employees on task requirements
•    Assist the Production Supervisor to implement the daily work plan to achieve operational targets and effectively communicate any changes to crew or others impacted by the change
About you:
•    Evidence of demonstrated ability to operate equipment to achieve production targets
•    Current S1, S2, S3, G2 Supervisory Certificates 
•    Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees on task requirements
•    Commitment to safety and sustainable culture onsite
•    Ability to follow effective work plans – tasks, timelines and resources
•    Current Coal Board Medical – Section 2
•    Current Standard 11 – Statement of Attainment
•    Current Manual Drivers Licence

Byerwen Mine is located approximately 20kms west of the town of Glenden in the northern Bowen Basin and is Macmahon's largest project on the east coast. Full camp facilities are available - accommodation and meals provided.
