Due to the continuous growth and strengthening of our position Australia wide and the recent additional works being awarded at Byerwen, Macmahon has opportunities for experienced Leading Hand – Tyre Fitter.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Carry out incident investigations when required and ensure any damage or faults to equipment is reported and investigated thoroughly
•    Ensure plant that has faulty critical components is not operated until faults are rectified
•    Ensure individual compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, Macmahon and Client instructions, policies, procedures and practices
•    Display and lead by example demeanour in all areas of the role (safety, conduct, work ethic, company core values)
•    Ensure that all servicing and repairs are carried out to a high standard and in a timely manner
•    Maintain staff roster
•    Manage tyre budgets

About you:

•    Previous experience in a similar role in a large scale open-cut mining production environment
•    Ability to work as part of the team
•    Great interpersonal and communication skills
•    Drive a safety-first workplace culture, which promotes a zero-harm environment
•    Current Supervisor Certificate – S1, S2, S3, G2
