About the role: We are currently seeking a Light Vehicle & Auxilliary Equipment Fitter for our Coppabella/Moorvale Joint Venture.  Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile PCI coal for export markets.

This role will report to the Maintenance Engineering and Planning Superintendent and provide a high level of Maintenance Planning support to the Light Vehicle and Auxilliary Fleet.   Duties will include:

  • Maintain and improve maintenance to maximise equipment availability and reliability
  • Ensure maintenance strategies are implemented
  • Provide input in forecasting for planned work
  • Adherence to work management procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, and site policies and procedures

The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 7 Days On and 7 Days Off roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.  Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.

About you:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Fitter or Motor Mechanic Trade
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, maintenance principles and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in safety systems and processes
