Light Vehicle Fitter

Swick Mining Services are seeking multiple Light Vehicle (LV) Fitters to join our team, the roles will be located at various sites within WA on a Permanent Full-time basis, working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. There is also the opportunity for internal training and trade upgrades for the right candidate.
Role
Duties are (but not limited to) the following:
- Servicing, maintenance and fault finding on light vehicles and trailers;
- Ensuring statutory servicing and testing is completed, service literature is recorded and forwarded for storing;
- Carry out servicing in the field including surface, underground and Perth based workshops;
- Carry out trouble shooting and fault finding in the field including surface, underground and Perth workshops;
- Communication with both operations and external customers;
- Ensure all paperwork is completed and signed off by relevant parties;
- Participate in ordering and maintenance of relevant parts/stock; and
- Daily report completion and submission in a timely manner.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be trade qualified and experienced with initiative and willingness to grow a strong career in the mining industry. Bringing a strong safety focus, you will also be required to meet the following criteria:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role working with a fleet of light vehicles including Landcruiser, Hilux, Ranger, Hiace buses and Izuzu 4x4.
- Relevant Mechanical trade qualification
- Current C Class Driver License
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and time management
