Light Vehicle Fitters

Work Location: Solomon

• Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: Offering flexibility with either a 2:1 or 2:2 – FIFO ex Perth

You will be required to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair to a range of large-scale heavy road transport equipment supporting Fortescue's mining operations. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on mining fleet with particular focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Maintenance of large-scale mining equipment
• Diagnostics & fault finding
• Workshop and pit duties as required
• Work in conjunction with all mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
• Ensure FMG and site operations procedures and policies are followed.

 Qualifications and skills required:

• Australian recognised trade certificate in the relevant field
• Previous experience working in the mining or heavy industry
• Mobile plant experience is essential
• High regard for safety
• Heavy Rigid Driver’s License (desirable)
