You will be responsible for conducting quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications, ensuring collaboration and teamwork with our Force team to identify and address equipment issues and ensuring tasks are completed in a safe, timely and quality manner

What your day would look like:

  • Workshop-based line boring operations on various types of open cut and underground mining equipment
  • Provide bore surveys and condition reports using tablet-based audit tool
  • Internal Diameter welding and bore reclamation
  • Use of liquid nitrogen to assemble and fit various components
  • Partake in PSI talks and safety interactions daily, attend and contribute to monthly toolbox meetings
  • Perform precision boring operations on heavy machinery and equipment
  • Ensure accurate alignment and perfect finish on all projects
  • Maintain and troubleshoot boring equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Workshop based machine operations on a wide range of earth moving components.
  • On-site maintenance of CAT and Komatsu haul trucks, dozers, graders and excavators

What we’ll need from you:

  • Nationally recognised trade qualification;
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence ;
  • High Risk Licence (Highly Desirable);
  • Proof of working rights (valid passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate, or current visa grant notification)
  • A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship in bucket rebuilds, repairs and refurbishments.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings;
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Commitment to safety and quality in all tasks; and
  • Demonstrating commitment to Force Equipment’s safety culture and values.
