CSA Mine is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to join the team. You will work in a team that is focused on safety, while driving to meet the plan. You will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.  We are currently seeking an experienced loader operator to safely and efficiently conduct loader operations applying both conventional and tele-remote stope loader techniques.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Management of the underground trucking fleet to ensure that they are fully utilised
• Ensuring truck loads are maximised
• Roadwork maintenance and housekeeping
• Correctly identify and manage ore and waste
• Strict compliance with tele-remote procedures
• Ensuring tram and loading packages are maintained
• Monitoring, reporting, and conducting thorough equipment prestart and shutdown inspections
• Working with applicable departments, contractors, and teams to ensure production targets are safely met
• Promoting and reinforcing a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
• Any other task as directed by the supervisor

About you:

• Minimum 2 years tele-remote experience
• Current Australian manual driver’s licence
• Strong focus on safety and teamwork
• Dependable, self-motivated, with a high level of initiative
• Good organisational skills with the ability to set and meet daily targets

Conditions

This is a residential position and is offered on 7/7 roster. 12 weeks of free transit accommodation is provided to assist the successful applicant to source their own accommodation locally. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.

Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions. Entertainment options include restaurants, pubs, and clubs for dining out. You will be kept busy with a bowling and golf club, rugby and rugby league teams, race club, pony club, Olympic size swimming pool, gym – and more!
