About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Logistics, you will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and optimising the supply chain process to maximise business value across all of Illawarra Metallurgical coal (IMC) sites. You will have a strong focus on the safe efficient operation of Logistics Supply Chain with an ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

Key accountabilities

• Plan and coordinate all coal movements with sites, Sales and Operations, PKCT and marketing teams to maintain mine production continuity and facilitate scheduled coal sales
• Develop the clean coal supply chain schedules (0 - 7 days)
• Execute processes and controls that ensure supply chain data (schedules and actuals) integrity and timeliness
• Drive standardisation and continuous improvement of work planning practices and procedures

About you

You will be self-reliant, quick thinking, and particularly skilled in allocating and scheduling logistics activities.  When it comes to decision making, your considerable logistical experience and ability to establish trusted relationships with various departments will enable you to act fast and wisely.

To be considered for the role, you should have:

• Prior experience working in a similar role within mining, or other heavy industry
• Qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics desirable
• Supervisory and/or contractor management experience
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders up and down the supply chain
• Experience with Microsoft Excel desirable

Location

The position will be based at our Dendrobium Coal Processing Plant located in Port Kembla in the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
