About the role
We are looking for a Long Term Planner to facilitate the development of major long term maintenance plans into the future. In this role you will be required to manage the development and integration of major maintenance activities into the Zero-Based Budget (ZBB) and site production plan. You will also assist with providing guidance to site personnel in the Rio Tinto Work Management process and associated standards.
This role is critical to the business and as such, we require highly experienced, credible and capable personnel. Resilience, self-motivation and exceptional communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be required to interface with broad stakeholder groups, displaying credibility, building trust and influencing outcomes. You will be an expert problem solver, levelheaded thinker and most importantly committed to driving positive outcomes for the business. Reporting to Senior Long Term Planner, you will be required to:
Develop and maintain a 2-year Bauxite Major Maintenance plan for Fixed Plant site assets across the aluminum supply chain.
Manages the development and refinement of the designated 2-year maintenance plan via condition monitoring analytics and SME support
Plans major maintenance activities and where activities requiring long lead or shared, high value materials.
Assists with the Integration of the long-term plan into the scheduled loss plan for the business.
Maintains task lists, BOM’s and critical spares for site in the case of equipment change outs and refurbishments occurring within a 12-month timeframe.
Maintains the ZBB and coordinates two-year look ahead process to facilitate ZBB planning
Development and management of the Bauxite business Yearly/Monthly ZBB Groups

Feedback from sites on asset reliability, issues, constraints and performance to enhance the strategy and tactics

Tactics aligned to whole of life plans per asset class.
Accurate long term maintenance plans and risk-based budgets aligned to planned SL events and shutdown strategies.
Accurate risk profiles for assets.
Long term overview / forecast of component demands and valid contracts in place
Measures of Success
# of critical assets with updated / current WoL strategies
Tactics per asset class with common-based cycles frequencies (ensure these are in sync)
Alignment of maintenance strategies with asset lifecycles (to ensure major change-outs are aligned with scheduled loss periods
<20% ZBB allowances (Total spend from Allowances / Total Spend) PM01 Call Compliance for critical asset component change outs
Updated rolling major change-out replacement plan
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Significant proven experience in Fixed Plant maintenance planning for complex large sites
Trade background is highly preferred but not essential
Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of SAP, MS Excel and MS Project
Previous experience building and managing Zero based budgets
An understanding and focus on safety values and processes
