Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:  Perth CBD.  Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

The Energy Operations Long-Term Maintenance Planner is responsible for long-term planning, maintaining master data, aligning minor and major shutdown schedules with business outages, and providing 2-year budgets and quarterly forecasts. This position reports directly to the Lead Planner and collaborates closely with the planning team and site-based maintenance teams.

 

The Energy Operations team manages multiple generation and transmission network assets across the WA Pilbara operations. Fortescue currently owns several Gas and Diesel fuelled turbine generators along with a large solar power generation array, Battery Electric Storage Systems and a transmission network which spans across the Pilbara, with future power generation from wind generators. 

 

This role reports to the Planning Lead and works very closely with the Operational and Engineering teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Create task lists, maintenance items, and plans.
  • Maintain master data changes or new requests.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and support day-to-day changes.
  • Implement mass changes to master data as required.
  • Generate regular SAP reports and analyse data.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Coordinate and develop yearly and quarterly operations maintenance budgets for energy operations.
  • Report quarterly forecasts against budget and actual expenditure.
  • Support maintenance strategy Improvements.
  • Work with the Lead Planner and Strategic Planning to develop efficient dispatch plans and accurate run-hour estimates for quarterly and annual planning.
  • Map minor and major outages for all of Energy Operations.

Qualifications and Experience

 

Essential:

  • Extensive Knowledge and experience with SAP.
  • Proven commitment to safety and zero harm.
  • Ability to work with others to achieve objectives; team oriented.
  • Strong verbal, written, and computer skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Budget Experience

  

Desirable:

  • Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification.
  • Experience in power stations.
  • Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale power stations.
  • Experience in a planning role (planning weekly maintenance/shutdowns).
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
