About the role
Reporting to the Mining Manager as a Long Term Planning Engineer you will prepare life of mine designs and production schedules for our four mines across Tritton Operations.
This role will see you working operationally across a challenging and varied scope of work, its an exciting time to be part of the Tritton operations with the potential to be starting a brand new mine.
You will play a pivotal role when it comes to operating between site, corporate and our management team, giving you excellent exposure to a group of people who will really enable you to grow and develop in your role with us.
About You
Tritton Copper Operations is a long life copper operation located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales that commenced production in 2005. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production.
Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.

About You
- Strong mine engineering technical skills and practical experience in mine operations.
- Deswik IS and CAD
- Long term planning experience.
- Leadership and Mentoring skills.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Proven track record of managing studies and preparing reports.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Good communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, verbal and written.
- Enthusiasm, commitment and self-direction.
- 5/2 residential or 8/6 Days DIDO
- Travel allowances
- Meals & Accommodation provided by the company OR $15,000 Net Residential Allowance to reside locally
- Annual Tool Allowance
- 8 Year Mine Life - working direct for the Mine Owner/Operator
