Deflector Site Overview
Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Operate long hole production drills safely and efficiently for stope production purposes.
- Set up drilling rigs accurately according to drill designs and plans.
- Perform collaring, drilling, and reaming activities to mine plans and survey specifications.
- Monitor drilling operations and ground conditions; report any hazards or inconsistencies.
- Carry out minor troubleshooting, adjustments, and first-line maintenance on drill rigs.
- Complete pre-start checklists, shift reports, and hole progress logs accurately.
- Coordinate with the Mining Engineers, Surveyors, and Supervisors to optimise drilling accuracy and performance.
- Maximise rig utilisation by ensuring timely setup, relocation, auto-drilling at end of shift and shift handovers.
- Manage drill consumables efficiently and report shortages promptly.
About You:
- Minimum 1 year experience in UG Longhole drilling operations
- WA Driver’s License (manual C Class)
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- Senior First Aid
- Working at heights
