Job Tasks and Responsibilities

What We’re looking For

In this exciting period of growth, we have an exciting opportunity at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as a Longwall Automation Engineer. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside the Longwall team to drive Longwall Automation improvements at the mine.
• Instrumental in the mines transition to Remotely Operated Longwall mining.
• Working in conjunction with the Longwall Engineering team and trades to identify and rectify equipment related automation issues.
• Providing guidance to Longwall personnel and acting on feedback to ensure optimal Longwall Automation performance is achieved.
• Management of Longwall supporting Hardware and Software across site.
• Build good relations with OEM’s and other subject matter experts.
• Committed to the delivery and maintenance of safe and reliable Longwall Automation Systems.

Skills and Experience

Our Essential Criteria

• Tertiary Engineering qualifications.
• Solid understanding of Longwall Processes and Automation Systems.
• A positive attitude with the ability to influence others and promote Longwall Automation across site.
• Underground Coal Electrical Trade Experience would be advantageous.
• Experience with CitectSCADA and Allen Bradley PLC programming is desirable.
• .NET Programming experience and PostGres Database experience is desirable.
