Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Site Engineer, the Longwall Engineer will assist to effectively manage the longwall system in a safe and efficient manner so the process operates productively to deliver business targets through.

• Implementation, monitor and improve mechanical and electrical maintenance systems to ensure equipment availability is maximized.
• Budget development, cost control and life cycle management of the longwall system.
• Continual improvement, monitor compliance and availability of the longwall system.

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering.
• Experience managing an engineering process or area.
• Superior planning and problem solving skills.
• A team builder and the ability to motivate the longwall team to achieve high levels of performance.
• High level knowledge of all aspects associated with operation, maintenance and overhaul of modern longwall equipment.
