Longwall Superintendent

About the role:  Exciting opportunity to work in an underground coal mine only 15 minutes drive to the northern beaches of the Illawarra.

Working with industries best Mechanical and Electrical engineering support, with autonomy in leading the Longwall department having oversight on safety, production and cost KPIs.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will be leading and directing the longwall department with an opportunity to continue your professional development in a way that makes sense for you.

This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster with the option for flexible working arrangements, including 9 day fortnight.

About you:

• Strong knowledge of longwall processes.
• Demonstrated ability in management and strong communication skills.
• You will hold an Undermanager or Deputy practicing certificate.
• Demonstrated ability in management and strong communication skills.
• Ability to determine process deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management and prioritisation skills.
• Uncompromising commitment to safety.
