We are looking for enthusiastic and high performing LV Auto Electricians to join our Rio Tinto Iron Ore Pilbara Operations team and help excel at safety maintaining our reliable mobile equipment fleet. 

You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. Working an 8 days on, 6 days off - 7 nights on, 7 days off roster will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you.

If you don’t currently reside in Western Australia, we’ll provide full relocation to WA from any state in Australia so you can enjoy the incredible lifestyle.

The Opportunity

This role is a great opportunity for a self-starting and motivated individual who is looking to further develop their maintenance experience within a supportive environment and reporting to the MEM Supervisor, you will be:

• Carrying-out fault diagnosis on the LV fleet at the MEM workshop and in the field
• Identifying opportunities for improvements in machinery and work procedures along with general mechanical problem solving and liaising with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
• Utilising the SAP system to ensure that maintenance tasks and progress are continuously recorded
• Working effectively within Maintenance to schedule workloads
• Completing all requirements related to data collection or recording
• Maintaining the LV fleet in a safe and effective manner

What you’ll bring

• An Automotive Refrigerate Handler's Licence
• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• A Manual C Class Driver's Licence
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role working on heavy mobile equipment
• Solid diagnostic skills
• The ability to work autonomously in a challenging environment
• The ability to work collaboratively with team members

 It will also be beneficial if you have:

• A Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform ticket
• Previous experience utilising a Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP experience will be highly regarded).
