Ashton Coal Operations is located approximately 18 kilometres north of Singleton in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales (NSW). Operating 24 hours a day, our operations  including an underground mine and coal handling and preparation plant.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Ashton is currently seeking an experienced Longwall Maintenance Planner to support the Longwall Team with forward planning and continual improvement. Reporting to the Longwall Coordinator, the Longwall Maintenance Planner will be responsible for:

• Monitoring Longwall Maintenance results and providing guidance to the Longwall Team on opportunities for improvement
• Completing daily, weekly and monthly longwall process plans.
• Working with the Longwall Team to forward plan Longwall Move processes
• Tracking the progress of project plans and reporting back to the Longwall Coordinator on any issues or potential areas for improvement

Skills and Experience

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a Longwall Maintenance Planner position
• Extensive knowledge of Longwall Equipment and experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced computer literacy with proven experience using Microsoft Project
• Proficient in SAP including ability to use work order management, requisition raising and invoicing
• Sound analytical skills including the high level problem solving skills
