We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Mechanical Breakdown Controller within our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team, at our Mt Whaleback Mine Site. This is a predominantly office-based role coordinating and liaising with the Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Operators and Mine Control ensuring and excellent level of service.
You will be involved in analysing asset health data and making informed decisions to prevent unplanned machine downtime. You will be responding to maintenance calls from operators of all Heavy Mobile Equipment on site to efficiently manage and minimise unplanned downtime.
The roster will be based at Mt Whaleback on 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster.
About You
As the successful candidate you will ideally possess the following experience and skills:
- Proficient computer skills.
- Mechanical maintenance knowledge, across a mining mobile fleet. Exposure to Liebherr 994 and 9600's, CAT 793F trucks, 994 Loaders and Ancillary gear including 992 Loaders, Graders and D10 dozers are advantageous.
- Exposure to Autonomous haulage equipment also advantageous
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- A minimum of C class manual driver’s license is a requirement for this role.
Your excellent engagement and communication skills together with your technical strengths, will enable you to effectively triage faults. Proactive, credible and influential, you relate well with people, communicating confidently and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
