About the role
We are looking for a Boilermaker Fabrication tradesperson to carry out welding, fabrication and repairs to our Fixed Plant and HME Fleet located onsite at our Dampier Salt operation.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced tradesperson with a strong background in both fixed and mobile maintenance to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have responsibility for timely maintenance execution activities to ensure the smooth running of our plant and resolve issues that have the potential to significantly affect the its performance, reliability and availability. Working a 7 days on, 7 off roster and reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
A relevant Trade qualification;
Experience with stainless and aluminum repairs and fabrication work;
A minimum of 5 years demonstrated practical experience in a mining environment
A manual C class drivers license;
The ability to communicate and work effectively within a team environment;
A strong commitment to safety and zero harm culture;
The ability to be flexible within the role and adapt to a changing environment.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
High Risk Work License
Dogger / Rigger / Forklift & HR License
Knowledge of SAP
MSIC accredited

Where you will be working
This position is based at our Dampier operation. Dampier Salt has two operations located at Dampier, Port Hedland and is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. Produced through a sustainable process of solar evaporation of seawater, we reliably deliver high quality salt essential for making thousands of products used in everyday life. Gypsum is additionally mined and processed at our Lake MacLeod operations.
