We are looking for an experienced, safety consciousMaintainer Operator Mechanical Technician to join our team at Cape Lambert Power Station.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational skills expertise to make a difference to the team. You will be part of a safe and technically disciplined team. Your demonstrated ability to deliver against a wide variety of Mechanical and Operational activities is essential to our teams’ success.

Reporting to the Supervisor Generation and working in an exciting environment you will:

  • carry out inspections, scheduled and breakdown maintenance and the Operation of assets as required at Cape Lambert Power Station This includes LM6000PF Gas Turbine Generators, Balance of Plant systems encompassing RO water treatment plant, Compressed air systems, Waste Water system, Diesel Generators and DCS operating platforms. 

What you’ll bring

  • A proactive approach and a strong commitment to maintaining our safe working culture.

  • Mechanical trade qualification.

  • Experience and confidence in delivering against your Mechanical trade.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of LM6000 Gas Turbines & Balance of Plant.

  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s.

  • Use, understand and follow GE GEK manual procedures.

  • RO Plant Maintenance and operation.

  • Compressors and Air system maintenance.

  • Diesel generator engine maintenance.

  • A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License.

  • Knowledge and understanding of IHI operating systems.

  • Experience and understanding of Work Management Processes & Practices

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • High Risk Work Licenses in LF, WP, DG, RG

  • Type B Gas Appliance, Supervising or Supervised Gas Fitter

  • Light fabrication and Lathe/Mill operation

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP

Where you will be working

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
