About the role
This is a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator at our Cannington mine.
Responsible for developing and executing maintenance activities at the mine, you will ensure the fixed plant team is set-up for success against business priorities and the seamless safe delivery of maintenance and engineering activities.
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Fixed Plant, you will be supported in your efforts in continually seeking to improve our maintenance practices & equipment performance across the operation.
This role is being offered on 8/6 Thurs - Thurs roster, Fly-in/Fly-out from Townsville or Cairns.
Role responsibilities include:
- Lead and monitor the safe planning and execution of maintenance
- Maintenance technical expert and support for trades and supervisors.
- Contribute to forecasting and scheduling of maintenance activities and projects
- Ensure execution activities are conducted safely and cost effectively in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures
- Lead and assist with improvements in Work Management and work place.
- Review work execution performance with team members, identify gaps and take corrective action as necessary to improve performance
- Support the identification, planning, scheduling, and implementation of critical maintenance activities required to achieve the 13-week schedule
- Management of external contractors for maintenance and project purposes
- Management of a portfolio of local maintenance improvement initiatives
- Collates input and assists superintendent to the development of the Maintenance strategy and budget
- Preparation of the capital submissions based on identification of improvement and defect elimination initiatives
About you
- Trade Certificate, Degree or Associate Diploma in a relevant Engineering field
- Prior experience in a similar role within heavy industry – mining preferred
- Knowledge of SAP work management desirable
- Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams
