Maintenance Coordinator – Crushing
Work Location: Solomon
Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
Role overview:
The Maintenance Coordinator - Dry Plant will be responsible to maintain and coordinate all Crushing related activities within both OPF’s at Solomon. Activities are to be delivered safely and with focus on continuous improvement. This role is responsible for Sizers, Cone Crusher related equipment and spares.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Coordinate, implement & improve medium to long term maintenance for responsible equipment
- Ensure maintenance strategies & scheduled maintenance are applied for responsible equipment
- Develop effective wear management systems with focus on failure rate understanding and prevention
- Liaise with equipment OEM’s and parts suppliers to improve reliability and availability
- Constantly review & monitor maintenance strategies with continuous improvement focus
- Provide ongoing technical support for maintenance crews including during breakdowns
- Act as a support function for the mechanical supervisors
Qualifications and skills required:
- Demonstrated fixed plant maintenance experience essential
- Demonstrated experience in supervisor position essential
- Ability to analyze data and compile reports
- Extensive knowledge of Sizers, Cone Crushers essential
- Hydraulic and lubrication experience
- Minimum of Mechanical / Fitter trade
- A current Australian Driver’s License
