Reporting to the Superintendent Electrical Maintenance, the purpose of the Electrical Supervisor role is to lead a team of maintenance electrical/instrument technicians to ensure the safe, cost effective and productive execution of maintenance and scheduled work activities to support the operations at Worsley Alumina Refinery.
This role will be offered on a Permanent basis
Location
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
Key Accountabilities:
• Oversee all aspects of electrical maintenance execution activities in the area of responsibility
• Duties under your appointment as a Statutory appointed electrical supervisor
• Delivery of safe outcomes through safety leadership, in-field coaching and application of procedures and policies
• Verification of workgroup controls relating to fatal risk work
• Ensuring timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval
• Ensuring alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule.
• Execution of safe, complaint maintenance work as per the signed off schedule
• Manage the planning and execution of unplanned work and the re-scheduling of uncompleted work as required
• Ensure team competencies are adequately maintained to contribute to the safe & effective execution of work
• Ensure work management processes are maintained with regards to notifications, work orders, service requisitions and supply/parts perspectives
• Understand and prioritise work on safety critical equipment including controls for material risks
• Guide and coach individual team members to build a high performing team
About you
• Technical Experience;
o Trade Certificate as Electrician and Western Australian A grade electrical licence
o Preferable qualifications as Instrument Fitter or Cert IV in Instrumentation
• Leadership Experience:
o Prior experience in managing and leading frontline teams
o Deep knowledge of electrical maintenance activities for industrial equipment including radiation devices, gas appliances and safety systems
o Demonstrated understanding of maintenance principles and best practice
o Experience with assigning/re-assigning of work, interpreting procedures and decision making that directly impacts his/her own team
o Ability to work collaboratively within a leadership team
o Proficient in the use of 1SAP in managing work
o Strong Improvement focus - identifying opportunity and championing change
o Demonstrated ability to develop, coach and mentor employees resulting in improved engagement, performance and efficiency.
