ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 rotating Day/Night roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.

As the Maintenance HV Fitter, you will be responsible for safely maintaining mobile diesel surface mining equipment as per work management processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines
• Monitor recurring faults and provide feedback and recommendations to rectify the fault
• Trace and correct faults on diesel engines, hydraulic, electric / electronic, and pneumatic systems
• Assess, repair, and maintain the following systems on HME: exhaust systems, cooling systems, transmission and drive trains, suspension systems, steering systems, brake systems, fuel system of a diesel engine, Turbo charger systems, Air-conditioning systems, Electrical systems and electronic systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Extensive experience in Mobile Maintenance and proficient in Caterpillar, Cummins, Sandvik, Komatsu or Hitachi
• Demonstratable understanding of principles of Mobile Mining Equipment fault finding and diagnostics
• Knowledge of Mobile Mining Equipment Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical systems
• A strong commitment to safety

Qualifications for this position are:

• Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic (Required)
• High Risk Dogging and Forklift (Required)
• Current HR Licence (Desirable)
