Our Cadia site is located in Central West New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional town of Orange and three hours’ drive from Sydney. Employees reside in the varied accommodation options in Orange, with the surrounding winery and national park areas to enjoy.

Who we are looking for:

Seeking an enthusiastic and safety-focused Maintenance Improvement Technician to join our busy Project Maintenance team at Cadia. The purpose of this role is to support the Fixed Plant Maintenance teams with a primary focus on planning & scheduling execution work to enable the installation of critical upgrades to CE Underground and Ore Treatment Fixed Plant Infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all projects are executed safely applying NewSafe, CCM and the team’s behaviours.
  • Collaborate and engage with the Execution and Planning teams to identify and facilitate the implementation of key maintenance improvements
  • Knowledge of budgeting process and how this aligns with the work strategies that are planned for execution during the financial period.
  • Liaising with all members of the fixed plant team to gain agreement on priorities to enable completion of set tasks in a timely and safe manner.  

You will also have:

  • A relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification, such as a Fitter or Boilermaker
  • Proven experience in the maintenance of fixed-plant equipment within mineral processing environment; underground mining experience highly desirable
  • Demonstrated operational experience leading improvement projects
  • Familiarity with SAP and MS Office programs is desirable

Please note: This is a permanent full-time residential role at our Cadia mine site, on a 5 days on / 2 off roster.
