MAINTENANCE INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNER
Yancoal MTW is seeking a motivated and results driven Maintenance Infrastructure Planner to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Infrastructure Coordinator, your focus will be to ensure all Infrastructure assets are maintained in a safe, reliable and cost-effective way that enables the business to achieve performance targets.

We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Owned and Operated by Yancoal Australia, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is one of the largest open pit operations in the area. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both draglines and load haul systems as the current and preferred mining method. Our site operates continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week and has a long and proud history, employing approximately 1350 people from local and surrounding communities, who are our most valuable asset.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Working closely with engineering and maintenance execution teams, this pivotal role is responsible for: • Breakdown management; • Management of parts and labour to support the weekly schedule; • Contractor management; • Risk assessment reviews and authorisations; • Work Order reviews – compliance, quality & time; • Delivery of the weekly maintenance plan for assets; • Identifying and pro-actively initiating maintenance improvement opportunities; • Providing technical support and advice to the operation; • Controlling maintenance expenditure; • Interacting during execution events to continuously improve planning accuracy; and • Proactively engage in safety improvement initiatives.

To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:
• Relevant trade/diploma qualifications with a mechanical or electrical focus; • Demonstrated high level planning experience in a similar role; • Drive and focus for continuous improvement; • High level of attention to detail; • Strong computer literacy; • Experience in the use of SAP or any other CMMS is highly regarded; • Well-developed written and verbal communication skill; • Ability to work autonomously and within a large team environment; • The ability to build rapport and maintain relationships is crucial to the role combined with your excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritise with a practical approach.
