•    Fulfilling opportunity to lead the Maintenance Department •    Site based - Blackwater QLD on a 5/2 roster We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia.  Owned by Yancoal, Yarrabee is a proud producer of high-quality PCI coal since 1982. We employ approximately 400 people, who are our most valuable asset. 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the maintenance workforce in a safe and cost-effective manner (in association with mobile and fixed plant equipment maintenance activities), in order to achieve a high degree of reliability. Responsibilities of the role include:

Skills and Experience

Skills

• Degree or Diploma in associated discipline
• Applicable Coal Competencies
• Senior First Aid or higher
• S1,2,3 & G2
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong SAP knowledge & Microsoft Project skills
• Skilled in risk assessment, hazard identification & highly responsive to safety issues

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role and knowledge of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation and how it is related to maintenance applications
• Experienced in managing and maintaining personnel rosters within a mining environment
• Previous experience in providing leadership to effect project and operational success in relation to maintenance applications within an Open Cut Mining environment
