An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a high achieving Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team based in Brisbane. The Shutdown Planners role is to schedule the 4 week plan as delivered by the Central Planning team. Manage the 4-week planning window using a -2 week + 2week horizon. The shutdown planner is responsible for the successful execution of the plan that includes all major components, scheduled services, defect and backlog prioritisation, inspections and minor repairs. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for (but not limited too); 

  • Develop and maintain a 4 week schedule of all labour and maintenance works completed in a Region
  • AMT Job status updates and STP management
  • Event management – pulling together the events for components, PM’s, defects and minors
  • Develop and issue work packs
  • Organise inductions, permits and approvals required to complete work on Emeco customer sites
  • Align scheduled services with maintenance tactics to achieve high scheduled works compliance
  • Place parts orders with Procurement team for non Major Component work scopes
  • Respond to breakdown requirements that can be met within the components and/or labour of the schedule
  • Close off work orders upon completion of job including all relevant information.
  • Update component details in the Maintenance Management System upon completion of job
  • Engage with Maintenance team to improve defect recording and management
  • Engage with the Central Planning Hub to improve the quality and accuracy of the work packages issued
  • Engage with Regional Rental team to ensure that works are completed according to customer requirements and constraints.
  • Ensure statutory compliance tasks are up to date and completed across the fleet

Skills and Experience 

  • Experience in maintenance of heavy mobile earth moving equipment, in particular CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu;
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance scheduling;
  • Effective planning and organising skills with the ability to deliver on simultaneous projects with competing priorities;
  • High-level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven ability to foster strong working relationships;
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines;
  • Substantial knowledge and experience utilising computer programs including Computerised Maintenance Management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
