Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maintenance Planner to join the team at the "King of the Hills” mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon have secured a 5-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 ltd, the mine will have annual production above 200kozpa, King of the Hills is Australia’s next major Gold Mine which will feature State-of-the-Art Technology 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain the long term component forecast
- Maintaining and updating records of maintenance costs, plant history and task changes within the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Organising external service providers as required
- Creation of component BOM lists
- Providing site support for maintenance and KPI reporting
- Assisting with the generation of long term budget forecasts and strategy
- Foresee and eliminate potential delays through accurate planning and scheduling
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience on surface mobile plant
- Experience in surface plant maintenance
- Experience in planning and scheduling roles
- Strong understanding and commitment to site safety standards and procedures
- Experience with heavy mobile equipment maintenance
- Excellent communication skill and the ability to communicate with both workshop and management personnel
- Strong computer skills with the ability to present plans and results in various MS formats
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritize accordingly
- Previous experience using OEM parts systems with CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, Cummins
- Whilst not essential, hold a trade qualification – Heavy Diesel Mechanic and knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and processes would be regarded favourably.
