Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.
This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources.
About the Role
As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Planners to join the team on a full-time basis (8/6 FIFO roster from Perth). These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.
The Maintenance Planners will develop site-based maintenance plans based on schedules, integrate the repair of backlogged defects into the plan, monitor all aspects of the site maintenance performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the site maintenance activity.
What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules, planned servicing, statutory inspections, and equipment transfers to ensure operational reliability.
- Monitor and review maintenance backlogs, defects, and complex repairs, coordinating timely resolutions with Maintenance Foremen and site teams.
- Maintain accurate records and administration within the PRONTO maintenance system, including PM tasks, work orders, documentation, and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate parts availability, warranty claims, service exchange components, and third-party maintenance activities, including scopes of work and purchase orders.
- Support maintenance planning and reporting processes, including SOS analysis, 7/21 scheduling input, and maintenance performance reporting.
- Promote safe work practices through active participation in safety initiatives, risk assessments, JSAs, and incident investigations while ensuring compliance with company procedures and statutory requirements.
Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes
- Extensive demonstrated experience in the maintenance and planning of underground mobile equipment.
- Possess valid Mechanical or relevant Trade Certificate with significant years of relevant experience, preferably within mining environment.
- Proficient in ERP/plant maintenance systems, including maintenance planning and costing functions and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work autonomously in mobile plant maintenance planning roles with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong maintenance planning, coordination, and organisational skills.
