About the Role

Peabody is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering & Maintenance team at Centurion Mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay.

Reporting to the Manager Engineering & Maintenance, this position is responsible for coordinating and planning maintenance activities across the underground operation to maximise equipment reliability, optimise resource utilisation, and support safe and efficient production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, issue and maintain maintenance schedules for underground equipment and project activities
  • Coordinate maintenance requirements with production teams to ensure efficient execution of work
  • Liaise with operational leaders, contractors and maintenance personnel regarding resource availability
  • Convert asset management plans, inspections, defect reports and service findings into executable work orders
  • Monitor maintenance compliance and prepare weekly maintenance performance reports
  • Raise purchase orders for maintenance services and equipment components
  • Manage work order lifecycle activities, ensuring accurate SAP data and timely close-out
  • Maintain and prioritise maintenance backlogs while identifying schedule risks and constraints
  • Provide weekly work schedules and supporting documentation to site operational leaders
  • Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement activities

About You

  • Mechanical or Electrical trade qualified
  • Demonstrated experience in a Maintenance Planner role or similar position within mining, heavy industry or resources
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning and execution methodologies
  • Previous experience using SAP or similar maintenance management systems
  • Ability to analyse equipment reliability and maintenance performance trends
  • Sound knowledge of risk management processes, permits, JSEAs and safety systems
  • Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • High level of computer literacy and administrative accuracy

The Lifestyle

This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight roster (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) and can accommodate Residential (Moranbah), DIDO or FIFO from Brisbane arrangements.
