Maintenance Planner – Green Energy Hub  

Work Location: Fortescue Centre. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday with adhoc regular site travel.

Role overview:

This exciting new Perth based position has responsibility for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance tasks related to the Green Energy Hub at Christmas Creek. The Green Energy hub, currently under construction, consists of 2 Hydrogen gas production trains, a liquid hydrogen Cryogenic plant and a large scale battery charger used to charge trial battery based mobile plant technology. It also includes maintenance planning for Office and workshop facilities at the hub.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop plant down time schedules in consultation with gas production requirements and customer demand.
  • Develop and maintain PM Plans for all of the Hubs equipment and infrastructure.
  • Ensure engineered critical control measures are incorporated in maintenance plans for regular inspections.
  • Develop plant major shutdown maintenance packages incorporating appropriate risk management techniques.
  • Implement use of thorough change management principals when planning all maintenance activities.
  • Develop and manage service agreements with specialist contractors.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Demonstrated safety leadership.
  • Electrical tradesperson with instrumentation qualifications or Process engineer qualifications highly desirable.
  • SAP experience and the ability to support the development of SAP Master data and maintenance tactics.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills. Having the ability to liaise and interact with individuals and groups of varying levels of authority.
  • Advanced understanding of Change Management processes.
