Maintenance Planner - Mechanical 

Work Location:  Iron Bridge. Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

Fortescue is the only heavy industry company in the world with a fully costed plan to decarbonise its operations by 2030. The Iron Bridge Project is a joint venture between Fortescue Metals Group subsidiary FMG Magnetite and Formosa Steel IB, that will deliver high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product in the Pilbara. Your role will be to build and execute maintenance of SAP Master Data and integrated maintenance plans and schedules for the process plant and associated infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient delivery of the maintenance strategies.

The Fixed Plant Maintenance Planning team are responsible for optimising fixed plant maintenance strategies and managing the maintenance system that is used to prepare schedules of primary and secondary maintenance work, that once executed by the plant operations and maintenance team will improve the reliability and performance of the processing plant.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scope, plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance of resources, parts, materials, and access to plant and equipment
  • Both weekly and shutdown planning for maintenance 
  • Comply with KPIs and safety standards
  • Ensure effective communication and cooperation between maintenance, vendors and production teams for safe execution and maintenance activities
  • Support the electrical and wider maintenance planning teams to support planning efforts and demands

Qualification and Experience:

  • Mining ore process plant maintenance experience essential
  • Previous planning experience in a large-scale maintenance planning environment
  • SAP CMMS knowledge and demonstrated experience essential
  • Shutdown planning experience preferred
  • Mechanical trade qualification preferred
