Shutdown Mechanical Maintenance Planner
Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
The Maintenance Planning team report directly to the Senior Planner. A Mechanical Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing fixed plant planning to the Ore Processing Facility (OPF) Maintenance and Shutdown Execution teams. The team contributes to the improvement in reliability and performance of the business’s physical assets through the implementation of the FMG business process and work management principles. The team also contributes to achieving site Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) goals through adherence to relevant HSE policies and standards.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Prepare planned work for areas of responsibility and assign/communicate priorities to maximise equipment availability. Ensure the Shutdown scope change process is adhered to after scope freeze at -6 weeks.
- Maintain and drive Work Management KPI’s and FMG Business processes with the maintenance and operations teams
- Mentor and coach the electrical maintenance, engineering, metallurgy and operations teams in work management processes where required
- Ensure master data management is controlled effectively within your area
- Raise ANCI’s and ATI’s to catalogue commonly used materials within your area
- BoM Reviews, updating requirements & Task list updates, Create and change Maintenance Plans, Items and strategies
Qualifications and skills required:
- Demonstrated years of experience in mining process plant maintenance (Preferred)
- Fixed Plant Mechanical trade qualification compliant with Australian standards
- Previous experience in planning and/or scheduling. (Essential)
- Knowledge of planning/scheduling practices with strong planning, organisational, scheduling and coordination skills
- Computer literate; including MS Office suite and MS Project or similar. Knowledge and experience of computer maintenance management systems e.g. SAP
- Excellent time management, and the ability to meet deadlines & milestones
