Track Maintenance Planner

Work Location: Hedland Operations.Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth or Residential Port Hedland

Role overview:

Fortescue's Rail Maintenance Planning department requires an experienced Maintenance Planner based at Thomas Yard. This position will report to the Senior Planner Rail Infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective cost and budget control through the planning phase.
  • Assist the execution teams in preparing scope of works.
  • Development of detailed weekly maintenance schedule.
  • Facilitate and chair weekly planning meetings.
  • Manage materials across track infrastructure, adding stock to inventory, review aged materials, critical spares.
  • Report on Work Management KPIs

Qualification and Experience:

  • Experience with SAP planning transactions is essential.
  • Previous experience working in rail operations will be highly regarded.
  • Maintenance planning experience and understanding of work management best practice.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Self starter with a high regard for attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration experience to achieve business objectives
